The project Ara-Moana is divided into 3 sections: The project group, the participants and Scandinavian/Polynesian Friendship Association (SPVA). The project group is the core of the project and constitutes the forum in which major decisions concerning long-term planning and economy are made. The project group consists of: Poul Pedersen, boat owner; Sune Sandø, project consultant; Bo Præst Nielsen, project leader DK (PLDK); Rasmus Elmquist Casper, skipper and project leader Ara-Moana (PLAM) and Susanne Koch Andersen, chairman of SPVA.

Project participants are, of course, a precondition for a project, and the present and coming crew on Ara-Moana, in-cluding a group of active members of the association, will make up the participants.

SPVA is a supporting association for the project Ara-Moana. So far it serves as the voice through which contact to interested third parties is communicated. Being a supportive association with a subscription income it also serves to raise money. The activities of the association will be extended with "Ara-Moana in Polynesia", and the association will later be responsible for their own features within the scope of the project.

PLDK is responsible for ensuring that the budget and work schedule for Ara-Moana, Denmark are complied with. Skipper/PLAM is responsible for the cruise budget and is in charge of the planning of "Ara-Moana in Polynesia".
